The Zukowski Family Foundation End of Year Letter 2010

Dear Friends,

We are proud of our continued growth and the financial and emotional support we were able to make throughout 2010.

In spite of the enormous economic headwinds experienced across the globe, our foundation continued to step up and increase our commitments. I am happy to report that The Zukowski Family Foundation, in combination with Cheryl’s and my personal commitments were able to increase our contributions in 2010 by more than 100% from our inaugural year 2009.

Some of the organizations and individuals that benefited from our support this year included:

  • ARC – Association for Retarded Citizens
  • SHU – Sacred Heart University
  • Bryant College – on behalf of Alivia Rhault
  • St Joseph College – on behalf of Katy Gudeczauskas
  • University of CT – on behalf of Margo Lyga
  • FISH of Howard County
  • Special Olympics
  • Terryville High School – on behalf of our teacher’s recognition program award winner Gina Ritchie
  • Curry College – on behalf of Taryn Vigeant
  • The Ronald McDonald House
  • The Raina Labonte Scholarship Fund – In memory of Darren Labonte

As I mentioned last year, we take great pride in getting involved at a detailed level with every organization or individual we touch. We attend special events to support their causes, we volunteer to work for the cause, we make on site visits, sit on boards, set up internships, and we even hosted an international student this year.

While the need has been greater than ever this year, your response and support has been truly heartwarming. You are helping a new generation of scholars and touching many lives, and we thank you for helping us make a difference!

Throughout my life I have observed a few common characteristics shared by all great organizations and successful individuals. They excel because they have built personal accountability and a mission of continuous improvement in everything they do and they know that success has one fundamental aspect and one common characteristic – effort!

Please consider joining our efforts in helping us reach more people by making a tax deductible contribution. All amounts are greatly appreciated.

You may make checks payable to The Zukowski Family Foundation and mail to P.O. Box 87, Clarksville, MD 21027

Best Regards! — Ray and Cheryl Zukowski
